Nuro and Uber Eats in Houston and Mountain View.

Vice Mayor Jones,

Nuro, an autonomous vehicle company headquartered in Silicon Valley, will be organizing a demonstration of our, R2, zero-occupant delivery vehicle, in the San Jose City Hall Rotunda on Tuesday, September 27th, from 11am-1:30pm. Would the Vice Mayor be able to stop by for 15 minutes for a brief demonstration of the vehicle?

As you may be aware, Nuro, works closely with a number of cities in the region where we have vehicles deployed, as well as organizations like the Silicon Valley Leadership Group to educate members of the public and elected officials about the technology and benefits of neighborhood autonomous delivery services. This video provides a recap of our six years so far, with active on-road deliveries and testing of the autonomous vehicles (R2 and modified Toyota Prius vehicles) in the region, including streets of San Jose.

Let me know if there is additional information you would like to review and we can set up time for additional briefing.

Thanks for your time and attention, we hope to see the Vice Mayor at our event at City Hall on September 27th to learn more about the technology and public benefits of the services.
